Menhir Mahjong
A calm mahjong solitaire with a Breton identity.
In developmentMenhir Mahjong is classic mahjong solitaire, with the rules unchanged: match two identical free tiles until the board is clear. The setting is what changes.
The tiles are square slates. The three suits are ermines, triskels and shells. The winds are four compass points, and the dragons become a menhir, a dolmen and a lighthouse. The flowers are gorse, heather, broom and hydrangea, and the seasons are Breton weather: sun, rain, wind and a rainbow.
The boards take their shapes from Breton places: the Barnenez cairn, the Carnac alignments, a stone circle, a dolmen and a lighthouse, plus the classic Turtle. Each one comes upright and sideways, so it fits your phone whichever way you hold it.
Made to be calm
Every deal can be solved. Undo is unlimited. If you get stuck, you can shuffle for free. Hints are there if you want them. There is no timer and no score.
Three difficulty levels, Gentle, Classic and Tricky, change how forgiving a deal is, never whether it can be won. Gentle is the default, and all layouts are open from the start.
Where to play
Menhir Mahjong is still in development. It will be free on Google Play and playable in your browser, with no account and no connection needed.
